78th Street Condo Development coming to South Shore

Elam Industries LLC is planning three four-story buildings with a total of 10 condos, designed with an angled facade that gives every unit a view of sandy Rainbow Beach, which is about 1,000 feet east across the park. The developer has received the required city approvals for the plan and held a ceremonial groundbreaking.

According to Crain's Chicago Business, construction has been held back due to the industrywide difficulty of getting construction materials. Plans include eight interior parking spaces and two outdoor parking spaces.
